Ohio AG Announces New Programs to Track Sex Offenders

Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray announced today that his office has received a federal grant that will help county sheriffs keep better track of registered sex offenders.

The $155,546 grant will pay for two new programs.

Mall Jewelery Store Robbed

A jewelery store at Marion Centre mall was robbed at gunpoint Friday night. The Marion County Sheriff's Office says they received the report at 8:38 pm of a robbery at Kay's Jewelers.

Parole Board Denied Clemency to Bucyrus Man Set for Execution

The Ohio Parole Board unanimously rejected clemency Thursday for a man who says he's innocent of the 1994 triple slaying he's scheduled to die for next month. The board said no evidence was presented in the case of Kevin Keith that would alter the outcome of the trial.

Two More Arrested in Connection to Marion County Burglaries

An investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of two additional burglary suspects. They join four others arrested previously. The two crimes allegedly took place on the same day with one in the City of Marion and the other in the county.
