Election Officials Trying To Clear Up Confusion

The Marion County Board of Elections is reminding absentee voters that an additional form may need filled out in order for some ballots to be counted. The Board is also warning voters that contrary to a mass-mailed postcard, you cannot request an absentee ballot for two elections at the same time.

Auditor Candidate Holding Fundraiser At Winery

Lewis Holland, the Republican candidate for Marion County Auditor in 2010, is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 10, at 5:30pm.

The event is at Shamrock Winery, 111 County Road 25 (Rengert Road) near Waldo. There will be a silent auction and wine by the glass or by the bottle. Admission is free.

Absentee Ballots Now Available

Absentee ballots for the May 4, 2010 Primary Election are now available at the Marion County Board of Elections office.

Absentees may be voted at the board office, 222 West Center Street, Marion, during regular hours Monday thru Friday.
