Marion Church is Offering Free School Supplies

Peace Community United Church of Christ will distribute backpacks and school supplies to area families that could use some assistance with back to school items. They invited those in need to stop by Heritage Elementary School, 720 Columbus-Sandsuky Road North, on Saturday, July 21, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Marion Church Offering Free Picnic, Performances

Marion Grace Brethren Church is holding a free family picnic at McKinley Park in Marion on Thursday, July 12. The picnic starts at 6:00pm and will feature a group of teens from all over the U.S.
The church says the teens will perform songs, skits, puppets, along with “Bible truth.”
Police Make Arrests in Church Break In and Vandalism

The Marion Police Department says they arrested three juveniles accused of breaking into a church, stealing several items, and vandalizing the sanctuary. During the investigation, the department says they arrested two more juveniles and seized more than three pounds of marijuana.

The Shepherd's Fellowship is holding "Beyond the Gold" Soccer Camp/ Vacation Bible School event for kindergarten through fifth grade kids on July 16-20. The church encourages all kids to come out for a week of soccer, Bible lessons, music, crafts, and more.
Program Seeks Donations to Help Send Kids to Camp

A group of local residents is working to raise funds to send kids to camp. Royal Family Kids is a Christian camp that is designed to create positive memories for children ages 7-11 who have been victims of abuse or neglect.
Local organizers are having a community sale and craft show on July 7 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Abundant Life Church in Marion.
Marion Church Offering Free Music Lessons

The Shepherd's Fellowship in Marion is hosting free music lessons every other Thursday through the summer. The next classes are set for Thursday, June 28. They have instructors for guitar, bass guitar, and drums who are volunteering their time to help students.

Paradise Park is partnering with Family.Life.Church to offer support for Teen.Life to attend the U252 youth conference this summer. For every paid adult through June 17, Teen.Life will receive $3. They will also receive $2 for every child.
