MARMET Arrests 15 in Operation Vigilance

The MARMET Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, says a nearly six month investigation, called Operation Vigilance, into the sale of illegal drugs in the Marion area resulted in several search warrants executed on Friday, August 3. As a result of the raids, 15 people were arrested on drug related and other charges.

Juvenile Offender Quickly Captured After Escape

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says an unidentified youth offender escaped the North Central Ohio Rehabilitation Center, 1440 Mt. Vernon Avenue, on July 7, 2012 at approximately 4:06pm. He was arrested a short time later with the help of an alert witness.
