Troopers from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 7:37pm. The crash, which occurred on State Route 95 at the intersection of State Route 203, resulted in one driver being flown by helicopter to a Columbus hospital.

MARMET Arrests 15 in Operation Vigilance
The MARMET Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, says a nearly six month investigation, called Operation Vigilance, into the sale of illegal drugs in the Marion area resulted in several search warrants executed on Friday, August 3. As a result of the raids, 15 people were arrested on drug related and other charges.
Marion Man Arrested After Running from Patrol
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they arrested a Marion man Wednesday morning after he led them on a high speed chase and then ran from his vehicle on foot. The suspect managed to hide from authorities for hours before being located.
Patrol Makes Over 26,000 Traffic Contacts During Holiday
The Ohio State Highway Patrol made more than 26,000 traffic contacts this July 4th holiday. In addition, 4 people lost their lives over the two-day reporting period which began Tuesday, July 3 at Midnight and ran through Wednesday, July 4 at 11:59 p.m.
State Patrol Reports Safest Year Ever for Ohio Roads
On the threshold of the July 4th holiday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is releasing the final 2011 fatality numbers, which have been confirmed by the Ohio Department of Public Safety. 2011 will go down in history as the safest year on record, with a total of 1,015 traffic fatalities.
However, so far this year fatalities have been on the rise and the Patrol cautions that much work needs to be done to further reduce impaired driving crashes and the resulting fatalities.
Several Sent to Hospitals Following Weekend Crash
Troopers from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a three-car injury crash that occurred on Saturday, June 9, at approximately 1:49pm on State Route 95 near Salem Road in Marion County. Two of the vehicles involved rolled over and several people were sent to local hospitals.

Patrol Traffic Stops, OVI and Drug Arrests Up Over Holiday Weekend
The Ohio State Highway Patrol made more traffic stops and impaired driving and drug arrests this Memorial Day weekend compared to the 2011 holiday weekend. In addition, 11 people lost their lives over the weekend- a four year low for the reporting period.
State Patrol Rolling Out New “Truck Shield” Program
